When FISM winner J. J. Sanvert performs, he only has one goal in mind - to entertain! This is why every routine in his professional repertoire is honed to perfection as he squeezes every last drop of entertainment potential from them. That means that every one of these tricks is strong enough to be your closer!

On this volume, you'll find three routines that approach the level of magical theater. Each is a showpiece that J. J. has carefully constructed for maximum impact and complete audience engagement. These are the tricks to do if you can only do one!

Linking Finger Rings - The trick begins along the classic lines - borrowed finger rings link are impossibly linked together. However, where most routines end, J. J.'s just begins. The rings subsequently vanish and each is found in a separate - and equally impossible - place.

Card in the Lemon - The secrets of the Universe explained with a deck of playing cards and a citrus fruit! A selected card, after going through several miraculous changes, is found inside of a lemon. The routining makes the lemon a logical part of the routine and the ending is guaranteed to elicit a gasp from even the most reserved audiences.

Babybel - This is the trick that J. J. uses to close his show - that says it all! In this routine that could almost be considered an act in itself, a borrowed bill is vanished and found within a small cheese. It should also be mentioned that said cheese is covered in wax, wrapped in cellophane and factory sealed in a net bag. Oh, yes - the bag is also sealed in a can of peas. This is a Nest of Boxes-type of effect that your audience is never going to believe. Plus, J. J. takes you through the setup of this effect in one of the most meticulous explanations of any magical effect ever committed to video.

Review OUR COMMENTS -- by  i-MagicNation

Jean Jacques Sanvert is among the elite of magic performers.  Not many of us can say that we were a winner at FISM.  He can, and it shows.  We can all learn a very valuable lesson just by watching Mr. Sanvert's entrance and first interactions with the audience.  He immediately wins his audience over with his friendly attitude and his high energy level.  Everyone instantly likes him, and develops the expectation that they will be entertained.  The all-important initial impression has succeeded in setting the stage for a winning routine.

We recommend that viewers pay close attention to the way this performer works off his audience.  He has very specific lines and actions to use, but he is wise enough to know that in order to stay intimate with the audience, he must be flexible enough to roll with the spectator interactions.  Of course, he knows his moves and his material so well that he can do it without thinking.  This gives him the ability to really stay tuned in to the people, and move in and take brief excursions off-script, but move back in seamlessly.

But, what about the magic?  It is top notch.  But again... and we don't want to repeat ourselves too much... we suggest that the first lessons learned from this set should be from the polish of the performance.  Anyway, now that we've made that point clear, let's talk tricks.

Volume 3 - Masterpiece Routines

Please read the product descriptions for the details of these effects.  Our favorite here is Sanvert's take on the card in lemon.  We have seen a lot of card to lemon and bill to lemon tricks, and audiences continue to just love this effect.  This one ranks among the best we've ever seen.  It is not that the method was so much different or more clever.  The method is not so important.  What really draws the audience in with this effect, is the plot.  This plot rocks.  The delicate balance of drama and humor in this routine is superb.  Sanvert uses music during the revelation of the card, and it adds an extra dimension that sends the audience into a lemony froth.  Excellent!

The linking finger rings was done very well, with the borrowed rings being brought back into the audience to show each spectator that their rings were, indeed, really linked.  The rings are subsequently vanished and made to reappear, which makes for some fun drama.  We were not very happy with the final ring revelation, because what seemed like a huge build-up ended up as a bit of a letdown in exchange for a smaller climax.  Maybe you will like it.  We would probably change that part, and be very happy with the rest of this excellent routine.

"Babybel" is a bill to impossible location effect.  In our opinion, this seems a bit contrived and over the top.  However, maybe that's just the jaded magician inside that is thinking that way.  You'll have to judge for yourself.
